Nicole Teran
Teacher

Nicole began her dance training at the age of 12 in Springfield, VA where she competed with her local dance studio. It was her love for Hip-hop that kickstarted her passion for all genres of dance including Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet, and Acro. Nicole received several national titles with her studio in addition to placing 1st in the nation for hip-hop with the West Springfield Dance Team for their sixth consecutive season.

In 2014, Nicole continued her dance training at Radford University where she studied under Danah Bella and Amy Vankirk. She competed with the RU "Rockers" all 4 years and was captain her junior and senior years. Nicole performed and choregraphed shows on campus and taught dance in the Blacksburg area. Nicole received her Bachelor's degree in 2018 and moved to Washington, D.C. where she danced professionally with Capitol Movement Inc. and taught classes at The Movement Studios. With Capitol Movement, Nicole worked with notable choreographers such as Cayla D. Evans and Emily Greenwell and performed throughout the DMV area. 

Nicole moved to Richmond, VA in 2021 and has plans to become an art teacher. She has been traveling nationwide working with Platinum National Dance Competition and is also the assistant dance team coach for Colonial Forge High School. Nicole is eager to continue her teaching career by joining the staff as an instructor at Prestige.
