Helene Leichter received her B.A. in Dance and English from the University of Richmond (UR) in May 2023. Helene performed as an ensemble dancer in the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival in 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021. She was also an ensemble dancer in Olga Kisseleva’s music video for her song "Breaking Old Ties” in 2018. In 2019, Helene partnered with #UNLOAD, a Connecticut-based organization dedicated to using the arts to create a discussion about gun violence, to organize a community performance of her choreography and a discussion following the performance. Helene performed as a company member with RVA Dance Collective for their 2021-2022 season, and in May 2022, she performed and presented choreography at Richmond Dance Festival. Helene was awarded the UR School of Arts & Sciences “Symposium Arts Award” for her choreography in both 2022 and 2023, as well as the UR Department of Theatre & Dance's Myra Daleng Dance Award. Helene has six years of experience as a dance teacher & teaching assistant in studios throughout Connecticut and Virginia.
